Maddie's First Haircut!

Some people find it hard to believe that Maddie has never had a haircut, but it's true! Today was the first time...ever! Her hair was getting so long that was becoming harder and harder to keep neat looking. I would brush it, put a hair bow in it, and then once we would get in the car and arrive at our destination, it would look like she had just climbed out of bed! We finally decided with spring right around the corner, now would be a good time.
It was sad for Mommy and Daddy and Maddie was a little scared starting off. As Billie Jo, the hairstylist, continued her work, Maddie warmed up to her and the idea of getting her haircut. By the end, she was loving it! Billie Jo even let Maddie hold a big round brush used for brushing hair off her clients. Maddie thought that was pretty neat.
 
 When she was done getting her hair cut, she got a card that said "First Haircut" and Billie Jo put some clippings of her hair in it and gave it to us. Maddie also got to pick a sticker out. I am so thankful for Billie Jo (Great Clips at Orchard Crossing) and the wonderful job she did working with Maddie and the style she gave her!

Afterward, we went next door to Target and she got to pick out her new swimsuit...thus explaining the pics of her wearing her swimsuit :)
