(3-1-2013)
After being cooped up most of the week, we decided to go the mall and walk around for a bit. While we were there, we stopped by the food court to grab some lunch.
Maddie and I ate at Chick-fil-A, while Daddy had Subway. (As a side note, I have to say that I love Chick-fil-A for several reasons: the food, the service, their beliefs, and the fact that their kids meals come with a small book instead of a cheap toy.)
Anyway, as we went to find a seat, Maddie asked if she could sit at the "apple" and of course, we said yes. Watching her sit there by herself reminded me that she isn't the little toddler who needs her mommy for EVERYTHING anymore. She is a preschooler who is constantly saying, "I can do it by myself!" Likewise, she loves walking by herself in the store instead of holding our hands.
I really miss her needing me so much but I'm also proud of her for the "big" girl she is becoming. I'm so thankful for every day that God blesses me by allowing me to stay home and watch her grow up before my eyes.
