The Switch-Up

Usually, Daddy gets home from work around 4:45, we have dinner, play with Maddie, and then put her to bed around 7pm. Today I decided to switch things up a bit. We picked Daddy up from work (because he rode with Mr. Al this morning) and went downtown Naperville in search of a cupcake...per Maddie's request...kind of. We had dinner at Potbelly's, made a stop by the bank (long story), and then went to a hole in the wall bakery called Sugar Monkey Cupcakes. We let Maddie pick the cupcake and she chose the red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting and red sprinkles (no, she didn't know what flavor she was choosing, she just liked how it looked.) We then took it home and split it, three-way! While I wouldn't say it was anything fantastic, it was good and it was fun discovering a new place and having a fun evening out! Oh, and yay for no cooking for Mommy!
